Eagleshams' appearance at the recent Preston Model Railway Show can be judged as a success. There were a few problems on both days, mainly relating to shorting of the track power. By means of fault finding we traced this to one of the fiddle yards, when it was turned clockwise, the short occured, but when it was turned anti-clockwise, it was fine! This is something that will be looked at before its next appearance. Some other problems were related to the wheelsets on stock, including a wheel that sheared off its axle on a wagon and a loco that shed its valvegear!
We attracted the attention of a few exhibition managers and have a few provisional invites for shows stretching to 2022, although with the COVID-19 outbreak wreaking havoc, things are subject to change. Thanks to Les & the guys at Preston MRC for a great weekend
