The group had a good weekend at the Cathcart Model Railway Exhibtion last weekend, Eaglesham ran very well all weekend and as an added bonus, the 12AD Model Railway Group now have our official group polo shirts! Eaglesham's regular operator, John Anderson, sourced these shirts for us and they feature a very nice embroidered logo. So, instead of looking like a rag-tag bunch of operators, we now look a uniform rag-tag bunch of operators.
The Cathcart show was the last outing for Eaglesham in its current guise, the layout is being extended at both ends and Bill has promised the extended layout for the Perth & District show in June 2015. More details will be revealed in due course, but as its Halloween, we have the fear as we only have 8 months to build and complete the extension!
Meanwhile, Spencer's Milton Street MPD will make its Scottish debut in it's extended form at the Falkirk Model Railway Exhibition, Forth Valley College, Grangemouth Road, Falkirk, FK2 9AD on 29th & 30th November 2014. We are working on some improvements for the scenic break which will be completed in time for the show.
We'll be updating the Eaglesham, Milton Street MPD & Rockvilla Goods pages soon, so stay tuned!
Eaglesham will be appearing at the Cathcart Model Railway Exhibtion, Pollokshaws Burgh hall, Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow G43 1NE this weekend. This will be the last showing of Eaglesham in its current format! More details when available!
Last weekends Bonnybridge show was fantastic. Great quality layouts, great hosts and to top it all off, Rockvilla Goods performed really well!
Apart from a couple of fixable Kadee coupler problems and a moody point motor, all went well and it was fun to operate to the random train formation sequences, if rather confusing at times.
12AD's next public appearance is at the Cathcart Model Railway Exhibtion, Pollokshaws Burgh hall, Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow G43 1NE, on 25th & 26th October 2014. Eaglesham wil be making its final appearance of the year.
